Studio Day
Today I took the train to Leighton Buzzard to go to Luke’s studio for the first time since coronavirus lockdown. I call his studio the jungle because he has lots of plants (which I love) amongst his top tier equipment. Back in early March, we were getting close to finishing up my EP after having recorded new drum and bass lines with James Edmunds (drums) and Ty Anderson (bass) in the Oak Room at the Hospital Club in London, right as concern about the virus was getting serious but nothing was shut down yet. The plan was to finish up recording at Luke’s home studio after that session for my vocals, synths, piano, guitars, etc. and that got postponed for a more than three months! But now we are back on track. I recorded guitar parts for “18” and “Wish I Could Say” today and will be back up next weekend (wearing a N95 mask on the train) to do vocals and synths.
